"Such a success is the fruit of a close cooperation between Iris Capital and the managing team of Alphanim through out the different phases in the companys development."
Such a success is the fruit of a close cooperation between Iris Cpaital and the managing team of Iris Capital through out the different phases in the companys development. Due to their comprehension of the stakes of the audiovisual production and its derived activities , Iris Capital was an invaluable partner especailly in critical moments.
Iris Capital had already worked with Christian Davin, the founder CEO of Alphanim in a previous holding. Iris Capital entered the capital of the company at the end of 2000 by buying out exiting shareholders, then raising the capital in order to finance the growth of the compnay, namely in the digital side. At the end of 2007, when it was sold to Gaumont, Alphanim was the animated production leader in France with over 10% of the market share and was one of the largest in Europe with 70 employees . The company sucessfully broke into digital developments geivn the lack of profitable marekts in the 2000's. The turnover grew from 10 to 23 M€ and the net profit was 0,2 to 1,3 M€ for that period. Meanwhile the compnay built up an important TV series and catoon catalogue that were broadcast internationnally. The capital managed by Iris Capital doubled in investment value during this period.
