Curt Gunsenheimer

Curt joined Iris Capital in 2002 and became a partner in 2005. He is responsible for investments in late-stage and growth capital across Europe.
Curt has twenty years of experience in venture capital and public-market financing of growth technology companies, with particular expertise in the field of Software. His areas of focus include enterprise software, cloud/SaaS, financial software and software-enabled services.
Current investments and board positions include Talend (data integration/big data), Kyriba Corp. (treasury management SaaS), Scality (Petabyte-scale storage software), Neocase Software (SaaS for HR service delivery), Dotandsoft (multichannel retail software), Searchmetrics (enterprise-class SEO software), Alyotech (outsourced R&D services).
Prior investments and board positions include Human Inference (sold to Neopost), SmartTrade Technologies, DataDirect Networks (exited in LMBO), Xcalia (sold to Progress Software), VoxMobili (sold to OnGlobal), (sold to PSA Peugeot Citroën), Varioptic (sold to Parrot), QSC AG (listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange), Genesys Conferencing (sold to InterCall), EVS Broadcast Equipment (listed on EuroNext), Alyotech (sold to Financière Eurogiciel SAS). Prior to Iris Capital, Curt was Vice President at technology investment bank Robertson Stephens in London/San Francisco in charge of the Software sector. As such, he led numerous pioneering IPOs of software and tech companies across Europe, and cross-border M&A transactions in Europe and the US. Earlier in his career, he worked at Goldman Sachs’ corporate finance and TMT teams, and for MIT in the field of entrepreneurship development and technology spin-outs.
Curt is a graduate of ESSEC School of Management (Paris) and of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Boston).
